OVERVIEW

This course teaches you what you need to:

  • join the events and entertainment industry
  • further your career in events
  • create your own company in any area of the events and entertainment sector

This attractive, international industry has a huge range of opportunities that fit a wide number of interests and career goals. You'll learn about some of the most popular areas of the sector including international music and DJ festivals, film and entertainment, art exhibitions, luxury events and fashion shows.

The course gives you an understanding of the planning, design and delivery of events you'll need for a successful career. You'll also find out about motivational speakers, wellness, lifestyle and sustainable fashion in the time of millennials, Generation Z and Generation Y, helping you understand the modern customer.

You'll be taught inside and outside the classroom, with field trips, workshops and guest speakers who share their industry knowledge with you. The skills you'll learn include creativity, originality, social responsibility, critical thinking, humanity and decision making. Plus, you'll graduate with the leadership skill top employers are looking for.

You'll have the skills to work in the tourism industry, running conferences and meetings for example. But you'll also have industry-specific knowledge for a career in events, working on everything from fashion and entertainment to festivals and modelling.
