OVERVIEW

Our three-year Business Management BSc(Hons) enables you to develop the practical skills and broad understanding of business principles you need to thrive in your chosen career.

Opportunities to tailor your learning enable you to prepare for roles in general management and for more specialist careers: for example, employee relations, marketing, recruitment and selection as well as roles in accountancy, risk management and consultancy.

You will develop a sound knowledge of the key business functions and how they work together, as well as an appreciation of factors including customer and market requirements, competition, sustainability, and economic, political and technological change.

In your first year you take core modules shared with our other Business Management degrees.

From your second year you can also choose to specialise in the area of business which interests you most: economics, finance, human resource management or marketing. This will help you to decide which area of business you would like specialise in, whilst also preparing you to be your own boss.

Students who achieve the required standard in year 1 may transfer to the four-year Business Management with Placement Year BSc(Hons), which includes a year in industry.
