Training takes place in our well-equipped 5500 SF shop which is large enough to build two full size houses. As part of your training you will build full size mock-ups in the shop and when available, build projects for customers in the field to learn and master basic and mid-level carpentry skills

The program is the only WA Labor and Industry Approved Pre-apprentice program in our region which means the program has to meet high standards yearly to meet L & I stringent requirements.

As a student you can earn 5 different training certificates, or an Applied Arts and Science Degree.

The program is the only one in the region that has an Agreement with the Union Carpenters apprenticeship training program. Completing required courses and maintaining a 3.5 GPA, our students are given preferred acceptance in their training program After acceptance into their training program, students can earn advancement pay levels based upon an exam given to them 3 months after acceptance.

The employment out-looks for the Washington state is excellent. The construction of the new Puget Sound transit system is projected to last over the next 30 years and demand for carpenters will be high. In addition plans for new residential homes and multi-family buildings for the future are expected to continue.
