BSC (HONS) IN NURSING AT UNIVERSITY OF HERTFORDSHIRE UK
Nursing is a highly skilled, rewarding and caring profession where you can make a real difference to people’s lives. In adult nursing, you’ll promote health and provide whole-person care in hospitals and the community. Throughout this pre-registration course you’ll develop critical, analytical and reflective skills that allow you to make sound judgments and evidence-based care. Half the course will be spent at the University, where you’ll learn the theoretical foundations of nursing. The other half will be spent in a variety of clinical settings, developing your hands-on skills.
Our students develop not only the practical skills relating to health but also how to practice in line with the core values of the national health service.
We offer an extensive range of specialist courses delivered by an experienced and passionate teaching team, many with years of experience within the health services. Students are taught in state of the art teaching facilities including simulation wards and intensive care units. These practical facilities mean that students develop the skills required to excel in their career without the need to go straight into clinical practice. You will also combine your university education with time on clinical placement within health trusts. This will give you the experience of working with patients during your degree.
Graduates from these fields are highly employable and often go on to excel in this highly rewarding career.
