Lancaster University Ghana emulates the same formula attracting students from across Africa and incorporating a dual focus on academics and student life offering a social and cultural taste of Ghana that reinforces teachings in the classroom as well as providing a lively atmosphere outside the classroom.

3. World class teaching
Students are taught by a combination of international, local and Lancaster University lecturers.  Faculty from Lancaster University UK deliver the post graduate programme modules and provide guest lectures and/or co-teach undergraduate programmes with Accra based academics. Graduates will also receive the same degree certificate that they would have received had they studied in the UK and the transcript will indicate the location of study of each module. Our undergraduate faculty offer high quality teaching and bring a world of experience to the programme.  Our faculty come from various countries, some of which include Ghana, India, Nigeria, Australia and Germany.

4. We're global!
The network of overseas teaching partnerships is a key component of Lancaster’s global outreach and commitment to internationalisation. Lancaster degree programmes are currently taught at branch campuses in collaboration with local institutions in India, Pakistan, Malaysia and China. We offer a multitude of study abroad and exchange opportunities for our young African minds to broaden their horizons and provide them with the opportunity to leave their comfort zone and exchange perspectives and ideas with students from all around the world.

5. We offer a modern, comfortable campus!
Our ultra-modern campuses are located in the delightful suburb of East Legon where you will be able to enjoy the many shopping, leisure, dining and entertainment venues in extremely close proximity to our university which is surrounded by a sprawling mall with cafes, restaurants and shops, a fully-equipped sports complex and a hospital.  Our campus facilities are one of the best you will find in Ghana, students will have access to lecture theatres, tutorial rooms, learning commons, online libraries, berak out rooms and so much more

6. We offer exciting student exchanges to the UK
LUG students have a unique advantage when it comes to exchange programmes. Currently there are three annual trips at Lancaster University Ghana of which any of our students can take advantage of.
In March 2014 & 2015, Lancaster University's Faculty of Arts and Sciences (FASS) visited Ghana with a delegation of students for ten days. This was followed by an outbound trip for LUG students and staff to the UK for three weeks as part of the annual Lancaster Student’s Union (LUSU) International Cultural Exchange Programme.  In September, LUSU sends a delegation of students from the UK Ghana for three weeks. Our students have the opportunity to volunteer as student ambassadors for these trips.
A new pilot programme to Dubai was launched in 2015 purely on student initiative. The TNE Global Exchange Programme which was in partnership with Murdoch University Dubai.
Summer 2016, LUG launched its Global Health Summer Programme where around 20 students who study an undergraduate level course in health and infectious diseases worked on public health projects with relevant organisations in Ghana. The annual study abroad program was co-delivered by staff from Boston University and Lancaster University while students at Lancaster University Ghana acted as chaperones and engage visiting students on extra-curricular activities

7.  Wellbeing & Support
There are a range of sporting activities that you can get involved with at our institution. We value fitness and physical well-being since we believe a healthy, active student is part of the formula for a well-rounded team player which translates to results in the classroom and beyond.
With your Lancaster ID card, we offer free access to Lizzy’s Sports Complex and several other facilities within about 100m from our campus, which demonstrates our commitment to healthy lifestyles.
Our Student Affairs Office often hosts fun intra university social events at the complex, such as penalty shoot-outs and basketball challenges.

8. We assist, tutor, and prepare you for the future!
Our Foundation Programme is designed as a unique preparatory course that will introduce high school, A-Level, and IGCSE students to the rigours of British undergraduate syllabus. Students from the West African Examination Council will need to complete the Foundation Programme prior to commencing their undergraduate studies. It is strongly recommended that students who do not currently meet the entry requirements for undergraduate studies enter this programme first.
